Subsidiary Controller

(full-time, based in Israel)

Summary

The Subsidiary Controller is responsible for Supporting, monitoring, and analyzing the financial reporting and budgeting of the subsidiaries, and constitutes the contact between subsidiaries’ finance and HQ finance. The position reports to the Global FPA Manager and works closely with the subsidiaries’ F&As and FPA team members.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Be a liaison and support to subsidiaries’ finance teams – financial/accounting, budgeting, operational, technical (relevant IT systems), etc.
    Provide proactive business support and build strong partnerships with the relevant functions.
  • Responsibility for intercompany transactions with subsidiaries (including booking of transactions) and administration of sales and inventory at subsidiaries.
  • Review and analyze results, reporting, and finance statements of subsidiaries.
  • Connect between HQ finance teams and subsidiaries’ finance teams.
  • Maintenance and technical support for the finance statements module in the internal reporting system (QlikView).
  • Involvement in budget and forecasting of the local company.
  • Other assignments may be added as needed.

Candidate profile

Education and experience:

  • Relevant education: B.A. in Economics, Accounting, or other relevant degrees.
  • 3-4 years of experience in multi-national companies, including knowledge in bookkeeping and financial reports analysis. Understanding of consolidation is a must.
  • Computer Literate – Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Background in Oracle, QlikView and SAP Financial Consolidation is an advantage.
  • Willing to travel abroad, if necessary (not more than 2-3 times a year)
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and in writing.

Global Reporting Manager

(full-time, based in Israel)

Summary

  • The Global Reporting Manager is responsible for all financial consolidation, analysis and reporting, for both Hazera and Limagrain management.
  • The position reports to the Global FPA Manager and works closely together with the Budget and Business Controllers.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the consolidation of the financial reports, including calculating and booking consolidation entries.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements reports and analysis for company and group management and other relevant reports, analyze financial data to identify trends and provide insights.
  • Manage relationships with the other team members to ensure timely and complete reporting.
  • Close cooperation with the Budget Controller to assist each other in peak seasons.
  • Work closely with other Finance functions to implement standard accounting practices and financial processes, including harmonization with sister companies.
  • Provide pro-active business support and build strong partnerships with all relevant functions.
  • Other assignments may be added as needed.

Candidate profile

Education and experience:

  • Qualified Accountant: CPA level – mandatory.
  • At least 3 years of experience in financial reporting with experience in Financial Statements analysis;
  • At least 3 years of international experience in a complex industrial environment, understanding IFRS accounting;
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and in writing.
  • Strong MS Office skills.

R&D Operation & Control Manager IL

Job Purpose:

To manage Berurim Nursery, improve seedling quality, and systemize the Nursery’s way of working.

Coordinate OPS unit projects through multiple interfaces and professionals. Verify that processes and investments are aligned with legal requirements.

Leading OPS Safety and quality roadmap. Leading purchasing processes and seasonal recruitment processes.

Support planning and process improvement.

 

Professional Responsibilities:

  • Own Berurim Farm Nursery growth readiness. Verify improvement of seedling quality and define a systematic process.
  • Assure seasonal labor plans (annual, per season, actual) and recruitment execution are aligned with OPS managers.
  • Lead OPS investments projects to execution on time and within budget, coordinate with OPS managers and other interfaces.
  • Verify Ops projects are aligned with supporting functions (Legal, HR, Finance, etc.).
  • Lead systems projects, new processes implementations, equipment installation.
  • Leading seasonal teams recruiting plan, agreements, Season ongoing needs and coordination.
  • Define, adjust and document business processes (work instructions, process flows, etc.) to support the operation and controlling methodologies.

  • Planning and reporting experience (ERP systems preferred)
  • Computer Literate

Quality assurance specialist IL

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and support the implementation, the maintenance and continuous improvement of the quality management system and processes, specifically for the activities of Hazera in IL: R&D breeding, R&D operations, Productions, supply planning, Customer service, sales, marketing, processing.
  • Documentation management: Support the different IL departments to write and update critical processes based on the main quality risks.
  • Actively support the IL process owners to evaluate the major and/or interdepartmental non conformities (root cause analysis) linked to critical processes
  • Ensure that Hazera IL maintains its Quality assurance accreditations & certifications by managing, coordinating and supporting the different departments for ISO 9001, NAL, SKAL, GSPP, ISO17025.
  • Internal audits
      • Ensure that the Internal audit plan for IL is completed before each Financial year end
      • assist, train and guide the internal auditors in preparing, performing and summarizing the internal audits
      • assist the IL teams in implementing corrective/preventive measures highlighted from each audit
  • Assist, train and guide the IL quality trustees in performing the quality tasks and in promoting the quality management system.
  • Provide QA training to new IL & subsidiary employees: induction program, non-conformity management, documentation system, etc.
  • QRA activities for Hazera globally
    • Management of global Quality Assurance documents and users on the documentation management tool
    • Communicate globally on the improvement, operational excellence & lessons learned from complaints & non conformities
    • Arrange annual Quality Day in IL & support the arrangement of the Quality Day in NL

Requirements:

Global Head of Supply Chain

Work location: The position is based in Israel (as a preference) or in the Netherlands.

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

  • The Global Head of Supply Chain develops a vision for the End-to-End Customer focused Supply Chain: performance ambitions, evolution of the organization, processes, and tools. The individual will be the champion and sponsor for transformation projects and business continuity supporting this focus and the business objectives of Hazera and will be responsible for the development of high performing teams and employees possessing key competencies, skills and knowledge, to ensure the Supply Chain is a successful core function of the company.

POSITION DESCRIPTION – ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supply Chain Strategy – The Global Head of Supply chain is accountable for supply chain strategy and activities, translates the company strategy into the Supply Chain strategy, with a multi-year roadmap with clear processes and KPI’s. Ensures that the Supply Chain programs meets the company’s business objectives in terms of service level, quality, cost, profitability, and sustainability. Lead Supply Chain transformation projects & programs. Implement and monitor continuous improvement programs.
  • Management– Recruitment, development, and overall management of Supply Chain employees, leading an engaged and high- performance team in the following functions: Seed processing, Quality Control & Seeds technology, Quality and Regulatory Affairs, EHS, Security, Procurement, Facilities & Maintenance.
  • Compliance – Carry out these activities in compliance with all national and international seed laws and regulations within the countries where the company operates, and in accordance with the Limagrain and Hazera values related to environmental sustainability, employee safety & well-being, and with its corporate social responsibility principles.
  • Group Membership – The Global Head of Supply chain will be an Executive of Limagrain Group and will be engaged in developing and attaining the goals of Ambition 2030 at group level. The individual will interface with the counterparts of the Limagrain Vegetable Seeds division BU’s to contribute to the supply chain strategy of LVS. And a member of Hazera Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) that will contribute in collaborative and transversal way to the strategy of Hazera and will represent Hazera in different applicable seed industry forums externally.
