Summary

The main objective of this position is to manage worldwide seed production for a group of crops (part of the portfolio products of the company) from small quantities of pre-commercial and stock seed productions to commercial/mass-scale seed productions. Ongoing in-depth and professional planning of production activities, directing a team of crop specialists towards satisfactory performance while conducting simultaneous ongoing control and examination of the critical stages along the production chain. Responsible for long-term planning, risk management, and capacity development for the relevant crops.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Seasonal production planning decision support (presence in cross-organization forums like P&C meetings).
  • Prepare an annual detailed work plan (production program).
  • Supervise and control work plan execution.
  • Meet its group’s predefined goals/challenges/outputs.
  • Establish & monitor relevant protocols.
  • Establish/maintain & support inter-divisional and external interfaces.
  • Set/maintain/update production prices & terms and negotiate contracts with core growers and/or seed production companies.
  • Manage contracting with growers/vendors and complete crop receival and settlement cycle.
  • Consolidate and analyze data. Set corrective measures to improve production performance; conduct internal (production team) and external (seed suppliers = growers/ seed production companies) seasonal summary & evaluation meetings.
  • Support in financial (budget) management.
  • Long-term planning, risk management, and production capacity development.
  • Managerial responsibility:
    – Manage a team of Production Specialists in IL and Abroad.

– Assess production activity & employee performance.

–  Guide employees in their professional development.

Candidate profile

  • Has a Bachelor (B.Sc.) in the field of Agronomy and/or Biology and/or Life Sciences (M.Sc. is advantage).
  • Proven experience in seed production. Experience with Solanum crops – Advantage.
  • Experienced in managing a team of employees (professionals).
  • Proven experience in – setting objectives, aligning goals, monitoring processes, and tracking results.
  • Excellent planning and project management skills and result oriented.
  • Good organization and strategy perspective combined with attention to details.
  • Strong collaborative approach to building trust among all relevant functions.

We are looking for an organized and self-driven Environmental Specialist to join our Risk & Quality department. As an Environmental Specialist, you will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance and improvement of the environment management system. environmental policies and compliance.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local state and Limagrain group regulations.
  • Conducting regular audits and tests to identify potential environmental risks and dangers.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to reduce waste, save energy, and prevent pollution. monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of programs and initiatives for environmental management – examining waste disposal issues to reduce volumes and disposal expenses.
  • Coordination with the supervisory authorities and ensuring compliance with permits and licenses, business licenses, poisons permits, and emission permits. Responsible for periodic inspections of wastewater by the authorities and initiative inspections. (ISO14001, ISO50001)

Required Profile:

The Treasurer and C&C manager reports to the Financial Risk & Compliance Manager in Israel and works in close connection with his/her peer in the Netherlands.

Roles & Responsibilities:

At Hazera, accurate management of cash and cash flow is a critical activity that is managed by the Finance division. The division consists of 30 enthusiastic employees, which are spread over the Company’s headquarters in the Netherlands and Israel.

The Treasurer and C&C manager reports to the Financial Risk & Compliance Manager in Israel and works in close connection with his/her peer in the Netherlands.

Manage the Company’s cash: 

  • Manage bank accounts and signatory rights of the Company and its affiliates.
  • Manage the short- and long-term credit needs and facilities of the company.
  • Initiate improvements in cash management; identify risks in our financial flows and propose alternatives.
  • Maintain a good relationship with the various banks; be the first point of contact.
  • Prepare a semi-annual forecast of the flows in foreign currencies as input for the hedging executed by Limagrain; manage the clearing of the contracts.
  • Maintain close cooperation with Limagrain’s Treasury Department.
  • Manage the Treasury assistant.

 

Manage the Company’s cash flow:

  • Prepare the annual cash flow budget and regular cash flow forecasts.
  • Prepare reports on actual cash flow; identify and evaluate variances.
  • Liaise with the organization to understand trends that may impact the cash flow.
  • Implement tools to improve forecasting and analysis skills.

Manage the Company’s credit risk:

  • Monitor and evaluate customer credit terms; manage credit holds and requests for credit terms updates, for both Hazera Israel and subsidiaries.
  • Prepare reports on aging and late payers.
  • Maintain close cooperation with the Sales Managers and Customer Service.
  • Professional management of the Credit & Collection Officer

Additional financial responsibilities will be added following the organizational needs.

Required Profile:

  • BA Economic/Accounting thinking and working level
  • 3-5 years Experience with cash management and banking systems
  • Experience with Credit and collection management is a plus
  • Experience in multi-national, multi-currency working environment

  • Create and implement a global research strategy that aligns with Hazera’s production goals and objectives by Identifying production gaps. Play a pivotal role in the development of producibility strategies.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Summary

  • The Finance Manager IL is a key position in the Israeli organization, responsible for all financial activities, including accounting, tax compliance, reporting, payroll and insurances.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for overseeing all finance-related activities in the country and developing the local team as a whole.
  • Manage the accounting team, including a Chief Accountant, a team of 8 Bookkeepers, and an Administrative Assistant. Generate and record regular accruals, prepayments, and other accounting transactions.

  • Management and development of a team of 9 controllers (based in IL, NL and Poland);
